Submission instructions
Proposals must be prepared using the template below and submitted as a PDF file by e-mail to tutorial@eusipco2027.de. The Tutorial Co-Chairs are happy to answer questions and to provide preliminary feedback before you submit.
Each proposal is limited to six pages, excluding presentation material, and must include:
- Title: a short descriptive title.
- Presenters: names, affiliations, contact information (e-mail and mailing address), webpages, and a short biography in IEEE format for each presenter. A tutorial can have at most three presenters.
- Description and outline: a description of the tutorial topic that conveys both its scope and depth, together with a tutorial outline (up to 300 words).
- Expected audience: the background of the expected audience and the relevance of the tutorial for them (up to 150 words).
- Recent publications: publications of the presenters related to the tutorial topic from the past three years.
- Motivation and relevance: the importance and timeliness of the topic and its relevance to researchers and engineers (up to 150 words).
- Previous editions: if the tutorial has been given before, when and where, and whether and how it will be modified for EUSIPCO 2027. If possible, provide a link to the slides of the previous presentation (up to 150 words).
- Presentation material (optional): a link to a draft of the material to be distributed to participants, if available. This helps in assessing the proposal and allows more constructive feedback.
Aims and scope
The EUSIPCO 2027 organizing committee invites proposals for tutorials on established or emerging topics of interest to the signal processing community. We welcome half-day tutorials of about three hours each on areas related to the conference topics. All tutorials take place on Monday, 30 August 2027.
An EUSIPCO tutorial should give a comprehensive overview of a specific topic in signal processing. A good tutorial is educational rather than a cursory survey of techniques, and its topic should be relevant and important enough to attract significant interest from the EUSIPCO community. Typical tutorial audiences are graduate students in signal processing, as well as researchers and practitioners from academia and industry.
Proposal selection
Proposals will be reviewed by the Tutorial Co-Chairs according to the following criteria:
- Relevance and timeliness: importance of the topic in 2027 and relevance to EUSIPCO.
- Technical quality: state-of-the-art and balanced coverage of the topic.
- Qualification of presenters: experience and CV of the speakers.
- Spectrum: the topic is of broad interest to academia and/or industry, researchers and/or engineers.
- Accessibility of presentation material: the presentation can be understood by the broad EUSIPCO audience, including graduate students, practicing engineers, researchers, and professors.
- Previous and future presentations: presence of similar topics or the same speakers at recent or upcoming conferences.
Tutorials with fewer than 10 registrations one week after the early registration deadline will not take place.
Tutorial slides will be made available to attendees via the EUSIPCO website, and wireless Internet access will be provided so that they can be accessed during the tutorial. Tutorial speakers are responsible for ensuring that their presentation material raises no copyright issues.
